Junie Baek, MSW, RP, RSW is a Psychotherapist at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, with a cross-appointment at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). She is a certified Managing Cancer and Living Meaningfully (CALM) therapist and is trained in Emotion and Symptom-Focused Engagement (EASE) therapy. In addition to her clinical practice, she coordinates the Global CALM Program.
Junie’s clinical and research work focuses on traumatic stress and the emotional burden experienced by individuals living with advanced cancer and their families, with particular attention to spousal caregivers. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Fine Arts (Music), a Master’s degree in Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto. Drawing on her interdisciplinary training, her work integrates clinical practice and research to better understand and address the psychosocial impact of serious illness on patients and families.
